Sales & Marketing
We communicate our product and value through an integrated marketing and media campaign using a variety of media vehicles. We focus on reaching our consumers in the right place at the right time. Our goal? To make the Howard Johnson brand the hotel chain guests choose when seeking reasonably priced accommodations they can enjoy regardless of their travel occasion.
In 2008, we will be implementing initiatives to support Howard Johnson® hotel franchisees on the following areas:
1. Increase System Contribution: Other than the international Web site www.hojo.com, we have launched a Web site especially designed for the up and coming Mexican market, hjmexico.com.
For Latin America, a comprehensive marketing plan will be launched in 2008 to support Howard Johnson properties with strategies primarily geared toward increasing system contribution.
Howard Johnson properties will benefit from our strategic alliances with global credit card companies, as an opportunity to promote their brands as well as to produce incremental business.
We will continue to promote the TripRewards® program in Asia-Pacific in 2008. With alliances such as Air China and Hainan Airlines, our loyalty program continues to expand while offering an incentive to delight and retain Howard Johnson customers.
2. Build Brand Awareness: In China, we will run an advertising campaign focusing on business publications, online and TV, to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
