Sales & Marketing
We are dedicated to helping the Ramada brand increase market share and drive room nights. Our goal is to leverage the existing high brand awareness and strengthen the brand as a leader in its category. Our marketing plan includes a new print and television campaign, TripRewards® program promotions, outdoor campaign via airport advertising and an online marketing campaign that includes paid search.

 

 

In 2008, we will be implementing initiatives to support Ramada® hotel franchisees on the following areas:

 

1. Increase System Contribution: As part of our efforts to increase online reservations in key markets and attract new customers, the Ramada® brand launched consumer Web sites in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy and China in 2007.

Through our International Regional Marketing Alliance (IRMA) we continuously explore opportunities for properties in Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as Asia-Pacific to extend marketing funds for regional marketing activities.

Other efforts aiming to drive bookings to our properties include the expansion of the TripRewards® program, strategic alliances with companies such as airlines and credit card companies, and paid search campaigns.


2. Build Brand Awareness

In 2007, the Leave the Rest to Ussm global marketing campaign was launched to build brand awareness and attract new customers to Ramada® hotels. In 2008, the second phase of the campaign will continue to highlight the story of the harried traveller, finding solace in the Ramada hotel experience. Whilst in sync with our global positioning, every advert will be tailored to each region’s distinct nuances.

A variety of resources such as brand identity guidelines, logos, and advertising and collateral templates are available to our franchisees on our extranet Web sites. We’re also placing brand-support agencies to assist properties worldwide in implementing brand identity guidelines and providing required information that the properties need in order to comply with the Ramada brand guidelines.
