History
In 1974, the first property opened in Oshkosh, WI, under the Budgetel flag. In 1998, the chain was re-flagged as Baymont Inn & Suites. In 2004, LaQuinta Corporation acquired the existing franchise agreements for Baymont. Then in 2006, La Quinta Corporation, along with Baymont, was acquired by the Blackstone Group.
